Just like what Charlie Brown says "I think I'm afraid to be happy because whenever I get too happy, something bad always happens." Just as I was glad that a series of wonderful stuff happened on Tuesday, that very day my new car was bumped by an idiot at the back! He claimed that he was focusing on the oncoming traffic that he didn't realise that I was still there (we were going out from a minor road to a major road). Nothing serious, bumper was slightly dented and that idiot's license plate's paintwork on my car. I won't be able to get it repaired till 4 August. Will be claiming on his insurance anyway. Feeling great pain as it's a new car and was barely 6 hours since I took over. Best thing is, Wendy has been telling me about how she was bumped by taxi just within 3 days. I broke her record!
Had 2 lessons on Wednesday and despite being an off day for Wendy, she had to go to school with me, rush with me to the workshop during lunch break and after school, we wanted to rush to the insurer to get my car assessed. It was too late as they close at 5pm so I went yesterday morning on my own.
Journey to the insurer was relatively easy. Managed to go there and then go to my place and get my keys within 2 hours. By the way, any place that can be reached within half hour here is considered near. Didn't like the lighting in my apartment. Felt it is rather dark there. Especially so that yesterday was a gloomy day. Can't wait to move in with all my furniture and bring some life to that place. Went to Ikea thereafter and got a little lost along the way. Thanks to the street directory and God's grace that I manage to get there. Was amazed at how I could do all the furniture shopping all by myself. I felt inhuman at times but of cause I had the help of 2 Korean boys (who were shopping too) for those tremendously heavy items.
Yesterday was extremely cold and we had very good congee at Little Hong Kong. Damn SHIOK! That place became one of our favourite places now as we can watch TVB dramas there =P
I'll have Weixiang and his friend in tomorrow to help me get my furniture fixed. Honestly I didn't like doing the house stuff alone. Felt that the house needs some cleaning done, however I was afraid. Was there this morning as the electrical stuff was sent to the place. I felt so frightened in an empty apartment. =( I hope I don't have to do this again all by myself. Thank God for giving me the strength to go through this.. *I wish I'll receive a Soo Kee Brilliant Rose cross pendant soon*
P/S: Internet was down for 2 days thus this late entry. I'll be having limited access to the Net too after I move to my place. I don't know why but they need 10-20 days before the Internet will be connected.
