It's day 2 in an unfamiliar environment. Thank God I have a familiar face with me the moment I step out of the arrival hall at Brisbane International Airport. Thank you Wendy darling for wasting your rest day on me! I also want to thank all of you who took time to send me off despite being so late at night on a Monday.
Honestly I didn't want anyone to see me off as I was afraid of the tear jerking scene. But guess we've all grown up. No tears except for my silly Jie Jie who couldn't control herself while hugging me. Jie Jie don't think too much. I'll miss you many many though I kept saying I won't and that it's good riddance that I don't have you to pester me =P

Flight was smooth. First 2 hours were spent reading the cards you people gave me and having my fried carrot cake. The carrot cake was damn good! When I first saw the menu, I knew that is what I'm going to eat. Missing chomp chomp now. Tears fell though when I was reading the cards and looking at the pics taken at the airport. YJ thank you for being the photographer! Bro-in-law, your skills improved!!! Slept through the rest of the journey till I was woken up by the pilot's voice to announce that we're landing soon.
Customs clearance was rather fast at the airport. It was raining when I arrived so Wendy took me straight to her apartment. We hang around in the apartment for awhile before she took me to the city to apply for my bank account. We went to Indooroopilly Shopping Centre for lunch which is near where I'll be staying. Walked around the surrounding to familiarise myself and thereafter, Wendy drove me to school to tour. School looks pretty good with lots of greenery. Will take pictures when at orientation next week.
Dinner was at Little Hong Kong, a restaurant owned by a Malaysian who apparently owns Little Singapore too at Sunny Bank. Sunny Bank's a place where many Chinese are situated. The other Chinatown I could say. Wendy's so familiar with the roads already that for once I cannot recognise the places at all!
Well, guess that's about it. Wendy's at work now. I'll most probably stay in today to settle my school stuff online. Edina (Wendy's housemate) is out to another suburb for work. Will be back only on Friday. She's such a sweetie! Left her keys with me so it'll be convenient for me to move in and out this few days. It's bright and sunny today. May just go for a walk like what BL said.
Btw, I'm in love with MSN now! Never appreciated it before till now. Was talking to Mum via video call. Made Jie Jie get web cam too once she moves into her flat. So you people, if you do not have a web cam, please go get it now! =)
